Australian Embassy Workshop on “An Inclusive and Disabled-Friendly Indonesia”

On December 10, the Embassy of Australia in Jakarta organized a half-day workshop to Commemorate the 2018 International Day of Persons with Disabilities with the topic of “An Inclusive and Disabled-Friendly Indonesia.” The workshop was opened by Allaster Cox, Deputy Head of Mission. Tolhas Damanik delivered a presentation on strengthening the voices of persons with disabilities at the regional level and briefly presented on the Masterplan. AGENDA Program Manager Erni Andriani also facilitated a session on creating an inclusive general election. Participants had a group discussion to formulate some real actions which can be accomplished within a year. At the end of the workshop, reflection and response from Australian and Indonesian governments were given by Fleur Davis the Minister Counsellor Governance and Human Development and by Vivi Yulaswati, the Director of Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare of BAPPENAS, respectively.
